A successful training program was held aiming disseminating knowledge on validation and verification of test methods, sampling and sample preparation for analysis, estimation of measurement uncertainty in testing and self-improvement in laboratory practices specially for the medical and veterinary labs, food industry labs, diagnostic & residual labs, chemical & microbiological labs, researchers, academics and post graduate students.
The program was conducted by Prof. Upali Samarajeewa (Emeritus Professor, University of Peradeniya), international consultant in laboratory development & accreditation, with 30 years of experience in developing more than 200 food safety, animal health, and plant health laboratories. The event was held on January 17th 2025 at the Renuka City Hotel, Colombo, during Prof. Samarajeewa’s short visit to Sri Lanka, with the participation of nearly 50 participants. The organizers of the event were Prof. Niranjalie Perera & Dr. Sumudu Warnakulasuriya.
